Commissioned project for a friend. Black and iridescent paint layers on geometric, yet asymmetric grid; an abstract composition derived from musical harmony and dissonance, song structure and changing time signatures characteristic of metal. Different sublayers and brush finishes cause unique amounts of reflectivity in each section, contrasting the ultra matte black paint which absorbs nearly all visible light.
